Guys, be honest: Do you want you had been bigger? Almost certainly, the answer is sure.

"I believe there isn't a guy on the planet who hasn't wished his penis had been an inch or two lengthier," says Michael O'Leary, MD, professor of urologic surgery at Harvard Healthcare College and a urologist at Brigham and Women's Clinic in Boston.

However, following more than the usual century of usually dubious and sometimes lunatic penis enlargement attempts, there's nonetheless not much you can do. Sure, there are tons and plenty of supposed options available -- penis tablets, creams, brutal stretching workouts, horrific-looking devices, and penis surgery. Almost none of it really works. The few approaches that may work frequently have modest advantages and severe aspect effects. How serious? In a few instances, erectile dysfunction-serious.

"Trust me, if I understood of a method to safely and successfully increase penis dimension, I would be considered a billionaire," O'Leary tells WebMD. "But I don't. Nobody does."

Still, common sense doesn't quit size-obsessed guys from attempting very sketchy remedies on a vital part of their anatomy -- and jeopardizing a lot within the procedure.

How Small Is a Little penis?
Think you are smaller sized than average? You're probably not.

The standard erect penis is generally 5 to 6 inches lengthy with a circumference of 4 to 5 inches. There is more variation in the size of flaccid penises.

Some men are truly smaller than that. In uncommon instances, genetics and hormone issues cause a condition called micropenis -- an erect penis of under 3 inches. Sometimes Peyronie's illness or prostate cancer surgery can decrease a guy's size.

But studies display that most from the men looking for penis enlargement are average-sized. They just think they're beneath average.

Why? Part of it's viewpoint. It is extremely difficult to gauge the size of your personal penis -- searching down, you have got a nasty angle.

Psychology performs a role, too. Some average-sized men become obsessed with the concept that they're too little. There's even a psychiatric prognosis: penile dysmorphic disorder. It's much like the perceptual distortion of anorexics who think they are body fat regardless of how skinny they get.

According to 1 study, the majority of males who get penis enlargement surgery have this situation. They're also the minimum satisfied using the results.
